I have complained in the past about my queries to the VA going into as black hole. No more, thanks to Katie Roberts, the new VA press secretary.
I sent Roberts an e-mail yesterday morning telling her I anticipated the Inspector General would release the SPAWAR report at 2:30 p.m. At 2:35 p.m. Roberts called me along with Warren for an interview - a lightning fast response for any organization.
This shows that the VA, under the leadership of Secretary Eric Shinseki, has adopted a new approach to dealing with news, good or bad, and I appreciate it.
COMMENTS
Now, if only they were that quick responding to recipients...4 months for a transaction that takes a couple of hours and they think they're doing great. I'm hopeful that they will apply this same urgency to respond that you experienced to their operations.
